In recent years, we’ve seen a lot of in American pop culture, from commercials on television to pharmaceutical ads on the radio. But what’s behind this shift? Does it have something to do with the fact that CBD is a “new medicine,” or is it something else? As it turns out, CBD is different than hemp oil, but that doesn’t mean CBD is ineffective, or that you should avoid CBD completely if you want to relieve symptoms of anxiety.

In fairness, we drank the same Kool-aid when we were kids, and while we never noticed the difference, we didn’t consciously think about it. But then, back then, there were other things to worry about. Like the fact that there was no pain relief in the “so-called” medical field, or that any medication we took would cause unwanted side effects. When we finally began taking CBD for anxiety, our doctor warned us about the dangers of “resveratol.” We were a bit baffled, given that we had heard so much about CBD before, and yet this new substance from the pharmaceutical industry seemed totally unfamiliar territory. We asked our doctor what it was, and he told us it was an extract derived from the leaves of the peppermint plant.

We tried several different kinds of prescription medications for anxiety, including benzodiazepines, antidepressants, etc. None of them worked very well, in general, although one or two did relieve our nausea. But these medications were extremely expensive, and they had nasty side effects. (The most common side effect was the desire to vomit.) We were desperate for something that would not cause side effects, and CBD seemed like the answer. We were hesitant to give up our medications, given that CBD was still relatively unknown.

So we kept trying different things, hoping to find an effective way to treat our chronic anxiety without CBD. Eventually, after some brainstorming on our own, we discovered that CBD could be helpful in treating our persistent nausea and vomiting. Our health insurance plan covered some of our out-of-pocket expenses for this treatment, which was a huge relief! So CBD became part of our treatment regimen.

Now, let’s go over some of the other ways in which CBD can help with the problems of chronic pain. First, CBD can reduce inflammation. Inflammation is often a problem in many parts of the body, particularly in areas that are inflamed or irritated. If you’ve been experiencing chronic pain for a long time, you’ll probably know that inflammation is a sign of possible danger. But CBD has the effect of reducing inflammation.

As a result of reduced inflammation, CBD has the effect of reducing the amount of glucose in your blood. This reduces high blood pressure, another symptom of inflammation. This is one of the first uses of CBD that we can think of. It’s not the only thing that CBD does to address the problem of inflammation, however; it may turn out to be the most important thing that CBD does.

Another way CBD can help with your chronic pain and anxiety is that it can reduce the frequency of epileptic seizures. The seizures that happen during a seizure are often so severe that they can cause the person to lose consciousness. CBD has been shown to control epileptic seizures in animal studies, but human trials are not yet available. But these results do show promise for helping people with epilepsy and similar disorders. In fact, the CBD is now being used to treat people with depression and anxiety who don’t respond to typical medications.

So there you have it: two very promising uses of CBD for chronic pain relief and arthritis. Both uses seem to have good evidence behind them. If you want more information, talk to your doctor. He or she can recommend a suitable CBD oil extract. That way you can get to the root of your problem instead of treating the symptoms. Or you can simply continue to treat the symptoms themselves, with CBD oil and other medication.
